In 2012, three Brothers from Elmhurst Lodge #941, thought it might be a good idea to start a Lodge which would meet on Saturday mornings. This Lodge would be different, in that the atmosphere would be casual, there would be breakfast before the meetings, and families would play a big part in the fellowship. After discussing this with several of their other Brothers, from surrounding Lodges, the idea blossomed into a viable plan.

The name "Green Dragon" was chosen for this new Lodge because of it's historical significance, and the desire to attract members who would enjoy this new association with that period. The Green Dragon Tavern, the "Headquarters for the Revolution", became the place where men gathered, to share Masonry on one level, and plan the events which preceded the American Revolution, on the floor below.

In the spirit of those who met at the Green Dragon Tavern, the men of Green Dragon Lodge #821, meet on the 4th Saturdays, to strengthen their fraternal bonds, build friendships with each other and their families, and share an unparalleled Masonic experience. From across the Northeastern Area of Illinois, Masons have come to our doors to be a part of this unique adventure.
The only question left is, "When will YOU be coming for breakfast?"...
